4:30 - 6:00 • HDRnB (Henley Douglas Rhythm and Blues)
HDRnB is an original R&B/soul/groove band founded by in late 2010, featuring Henley Douglas Jr. (sax), Brian Cogger (Vocals, Trumpet), John Iltis (drums), Charlie O'Neal (guitar), Peter Fedele (guitar), Squantch (trombone), David Walker (bass). Henley Douglas Jr.'s early career includes stints with the Big Dig Saxophone Quartet and Skin, a Boston-based funk-rock outfit that would open for acts like the Neville Brothers and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He founded the Heavy Metal Horns, a band that reached international acclaim in the 90s, and for 10 years, fronted the Boston Horns, a funk/jazz band also featuring HMH alum Garret Savluk.

The music stings and heals at the same time.'' - Steve Morse, Boston Globe. Erinn Brown is an accomplished singer/songwriter, guitarist with 3 well received Cd's of original music. Erinn and her band have performed for festivals in Boston and the North Shore as well as popular venues in Boston/Cambridge, New York, Washington DC and Austin, TX. 1:00 - 1:30 • Gatto Belly Dance Troupe “Gatto”, is an American Tribal Style® or ATS belly dance troupe based out of Salem, MA. ATS is an improvisational form where dancers take turns leading and following, using cues and a common vocabulary of moves to create a dance that looks choreographed but is not. Everything is created in the moment and no two performances are alike. Gatto consists of all experience levels with some dancers performing for the first time today. |
2:30 - 3:00 • Salem Shimmy Mob Salem Shimmy Mob is a belly dance flash mob with the primary objective of raising awareness and creating fundraising opportunities for victims and survivors of domestic violence. They also provide opportunities for dancers, promote belly dancing and support local businesses and communities in their efforts to raise awareness about domestic violence. Salem Arts Association members and community of artists explore Salem’s history with autumn, halloween, witchcraft, and the spirit of the season. The resulting exhibit represents diverse interpretations of the theme and how, by bringing them together, we create a collective understanding of it.
